Breanna and I go way back to our college days. Therefore, when she asked me to photograph her gender reveal, I couldn’t wait to be part of this milestone. Documenting life’s big moments for friends makes this job even more meaningful.

A Snowy Surprise Gender Reveal

Mother Nature decided to add her own special touch to the reveal. Unexpectedly, it started snowing during our session! The delicate white flakes falling around them created a magical atmosphere that no planning could have achieved.

When those blue smoke bombs erupted, announcing their baby boy, the combination with the falling snow was absolutely picture-perfect. In fact, I couldn’t have planned a more beautiful backdrop for their special moment. Their genuine reactions – the tears, laughter, and hugs – are why I love being a Williamsburg family photographer.

Colonial Williamsburg: The Perfect Setting

We chose Colonial Williamsburg for its gorgeous architecture and historic scenery. Consequently, the classic brick buildings and charming streets provided an elegant backdrop for their celebration. The contrast of modern joy against centuries-old architecture tells such a beautiful story.

The cobblestone streets dusted with snow and the colonial buildings created a timeless setting for this thoroughly modern celebration. Every corner offered another perfect spot to capture their excitement.

All in all, I treasure these opportunities to document life-changing announcements. These aren’t just photos – they’re the first chapter in their journey as parents to their little boy.
